Hooverball

This weekend is West Branch, Iowa's turn at the town summer fest. Home of Iowa's only Presidential Library, established in honor of the infamous Herbert Hoover.
Having been to the library, it is unfortunate that Hoover is primarily remembered as the President that sat on his hands while America suffered its great decline of the 1929 stock market crash preceding the Great Depression. As today with so many intertwining issues making up our economy, Hoover was the wrong guy at the wrong time and the errors of decision or historical outcome likely would have been the same for any other man in his position. However his work in aiding starving post-WWI populations in Europe were truly remarkable deeds in a time of need for those hundreds of thousands without food. Now that's what Iowans are all about!
Join the fun, have a couple of cold ones and enter the National Hooverball Championship. But remember to call a cab when it's time to go. Redline services West Branch, West Liberty, Lone Tree, Hills, Riverside and North Liberty towns near Iowa City. You call, we'll come. Clean, promptly and ready to take you to your next Hooverball experience.
